Last day of the year! sooo fast! chose Central and Clarke quay to welcome new year and countdown as suppose to be the least people area and most fun. met up with the guys (shaun, wei jie, yannie, SY) at around 7pm, nothing interesting to eat at central so went to brewerkz as shaun suggested, sat outside overlooking the river, great view of the evening sky. msg shaun to wear nice nice, wore shirt today, abit regret cose its super warm + humid! but long time no dress up! brewerkz still looks the same, but their food standard has drop alot! food is badd. their sister, cafe iguana serves much better food! but the company rocks thou, reminisce alot of poly + abit NS life (try not to bored out SY), alot of gossips! hehe.
been so long(half year) since Weijie came for our outing! surprise SY came today too! thanks for coming!! told them about our bad last year's eve too! last year after grace left us b4 countdown + shaun in NZ, I and yannie left, we walk too marina bay there then squeeze walk here walk there, super crowded, even the roads are packed with ppl, we saw the fireworks thou. then at 12.01 everyone starts heading towards MRT stations. LOL. we went and reach home at 2pm. was kinda sad case according to yannie. (I can't rmb :X) so this year must be better!
left brewerkz about 9+pm, walked over too the clarke quay, they having the countdown at the centre area(my original plan), covered but super warm! Haha. so we decide to take the risk and go too city hall! took bus to city hall, was trying to find this outdoor party at city hall, not the mrt station. can see lots of ppl heading to marina bay, esplanade. walk too city hall behind padang. think we got it wrong, cose got nothing there. so left with either back to Clarke quay or esplanade. and we are determine not to have a repeat of last year!
decided to walk back to clarke quay, apologies to shaun, SY and weijie for making you guys walked around. by time reach back around 11+pm, walked around more trying to find got any place got seats. wahh, all fully packed, so hangout at highlander bar near the event stage till countdown then joined the crowd. countdown was alright. HAPPY NEW YEAR! after that got performances rather good till this group of 4 ladies started dancing too abba songs! omg. they look like they got hired from orchard towers!! but the next band was great! from Azzucar club, they play latin music, made the mood there very carnival!! shaun then left wasn't feel well from the food eariler, also guess he was tired out from the walking and the crowd. sorry shaun! SY n weijie stay till about 1+ before going for last train.

so thats left me and yannie at 1.30am! LOL. yep. we needed a drink from all that before, so we decide to chillout at Cafe iguana. got strawberry margarita. nice! anyway yesterday cafe iguana got dance floor and was playing good RnB hits music! I tot they only do chillout drinking? Haha. we then get each other tequila shots! hehe! so after 2 tequila shots each + margaritas its time to hit the dance floor! LOL. can't really dance but was feeling light headed so just move uglily around! hahaha! was really fun. music was great. then also played rock music! they suppose to close at 3am, but the crowd dun wan to leave! haha. so they say and play 1 final song over and over again. LOL. till 3.30am.
Woh! its super fun! omg! hadn't had this for like more than 2 years? yep! yannie is my best dance partner! hehe! we tot of taking last NR bus, but it seems so crowded so we decide to take first train home instead. sat on the steps of singapore river, just chit-chatting of everything & anything! more gossips. been so long since we talk like that. keke! alcohol brings out good stories! then decide to go for Macdonals! walking along singapore river and saw my old army PC mohd n sgt Zhaff! hahaha. hadn't seem them in a while! mohd getting married soon! congrates!! blissful (teenage sweetheart!) rmb invite me for wedding! have little mohd(s) soon hor! hehe!
so we ended the day after eating Macdonals by singapore river. the mac place is crowded. the sun is raising and there are still lots of peeps along clarke quay. anyway. will miss hanging out once school starts. enjoyed myself today regardless of hiccups! anyway! HAPPY 2009! may it brings good health, good fortune, good endeavous to all my loved ones and everyone around them! cheers!
