.Short Week.

Home!! short sch week! I love this sem's Thursday & Friday. every Thursday only 2 lessons then finished so its a day for me to do as much work as possible for that day. well thursday leds to friday too, and Friday is another day that end early for me this sem. so by right, can go home early! but friday is opposite, its the most unproductive day for me. always no work done. LOL.

so this week as usual, but today celebrated YC's birthday! Happy Birthday roomie! yeah. hmm. sidenote.(this our first time celebrating his birthday, oops.) thanks shank for organizing. so we had a small gathering at Sakae sushi NTU! yeahh. a place we always talk about wanna go eat for tea time buffet so we decide to treat him! mostly NP peeps + fabby & surprise visit from chris! yep! miss him!! LOL. cool dude. must come visit us often. hahaha.

back too MR chiiii's birthday! (hahaha, i always call him that) thanks for being such a great roomie! had a great sem last year, this sem too. we talk so much rubbish/mugging/facebook gaming everynight that we now have lots of theory/thesis! hahahaha. stay always cheerful & gay(happy). LOL. oops. nah he dun read my blog 1, he only reads cosplayers xmm + nus mei mei blogs. oops! exposed! hahahaha. btw, he made us singaporeans proud in lecture this week too! LOL. I putting my hopes(first class hons for BE(com sci)) on you! Do It!!!

guess we are just bored, got alot of other funny stuffs but can't rmb, maybe must compile a book. hahaha, well today I looked around during the buffet, glad that "I" now have more than just 2 friends and well the "S-11" just isn't everything in the world.

after that, rushed for gym with shaun! becoming a habit for Friday, so its good! hehe. then he wanna eat xin wang HK cafe. another place thats becoming a little too often for me. LOL. chit-chatted abt goals and plans. hahaha. thou I hate too let him go but I believe US will be great for him. and we chatted till getting masters, he wanna get double masters. lmao! I agree with his prof, you needa have an aim and goal to move towards it. anyway, we ate lot there. LOL. the staffs was like keep anything else? LOL.

this week was thinking abt something and it makes me felt 'small'. not illterately but just some self-made useless feeling. thoughts that i thought I was over with, but somehow acutally I'm still affected by that incident.

hahaha. but managed to straighten out thoughts! today's chit-chat drove this into my mind, "when you achieve your goals is not important but do you achieve IT thats important." no need to rush with things, little steps everyday as long as your moving forward. lofty ambitions. crazy dreams and hopes. I dun have anything to lose. just everything to gain. its empowering, feels good to feel good. hahahaha. guess I'm weird... but I came back home to blog abt this immediately, dun wanna forget this feeling.

thanks blogger for helping me remember stuffs. I always claim to have good memory but my mind gets old and rusty too(sometimes its blank), its always a different feeling when you read back your old posts.

.Chinese New Year '09.

Happy New Year! Happy OX year! Gong Hei Fa Choy! hehe. this took awhile too update, back dating this post too. had a lovely CNY! love being around my lovely family,but I now got phobia of steamboats. omg! 3 steamboats in 3 days! hahahaha. to think I use to like steamboats! LOL.

had reunion dinner at Suntec 'Joaquim'. steamboat. but its everyone got their own pot so they cook their own. erm. the food there is acutally good but isn't steamboat suppose to eat together from the same pot than fun? but still happy cose my ah mah, both auntie swee ching and auntie swee ling, 4th uncle's and his family and my family were there. cheers!

Chuyi/first day of the new year! - went over my ah mah house morning! she prepared steamboat for lunch! hahaha. met my 4th uncle and his family there. 3rd uncle gone back malaysia. miss my 2 youngest cousin. been like really long since I last saw them. I will admit since last year we really almost just met once a year kind. so this year my aim will be too visit often! miss those times we would come almost every other week. btw! we took family photos! but pics with my cousin joel, yeah, he sloww lehh haven send me. LOL. he going NZ next month too, all the best for studies!

thanks ah mah for always taking care of me, lived with my ah mah since baby till P5, looking back, she never really scolded me even when I am naughty or problematic, but instead always been patient and shower her unconditional love on me. thanks auntie swee ching and swee ling for being the 2 most loveliest auntie ever, I use to act cute to get wadever I wanted! hahaha.

after that went to my another grandma(mum's side) house. they also prepared steamboat for dinner! omg... but we only met up with our grandma, cose my uncle and his family went over his friend place, so we took left early. then went shopping with my parents at JP. btw, interestingly my brother with his new hairstyle he looks like a malay! hahaha. we went for dinner at thai express and this malay lady manager called out for my bro, thinking was his friend and another malay guy came over and say his t-shirt is very nice. it was really funny. hahahaha. then went to watch Red cliff 2 again, still a great show!

Chuer/second day! - my auntie godma and her family came over for visiting together with my ah mah and auntie swee ching and swee ling. and for dinner... we had steamboat! yeah. 3rd in 3 days. hahahaha. but still it was fun. btw, my godsister is secondary 4 but i always think she still in primary! LOL.











being always telling myself that family is most important but sometimes I got caught in things that I deem as being busy and find excuse, so this year gonna push away everything else. for if you wan to make time for something you definitely can find time, more family time for me this year!!

.2nd Weekend & 3rd Week.

omg! its thursday! haha. so fast another week is ending. was telling myself to relax after CNY then start serious studying but CNY is here! LOL. looking forward to it. goodies! hongbaos! outings!

anyway going back too last weekend, after escape from 'far far land' went with tian ci to warehouse sale at redhill there, was badd... I guess the smallest warehouse sale I ever saw or went to. nothing much excepts bags & ladies shoes. after that went to gym with shaun then went to dinner at north point's new extendtion for dinner. he recommand the place 'Ishi-mura' hahaha. got the same name as the anime/game 'deadspace' infected ship name (its gory show but nice!).

the place quite aright cose we can get a seat as all other places are long queue. its like japanese food court. shaun got the bento = 'cai fan' lol. you really choose like cai fan. I got the pizza. not bad, quite filling!

saturday met up with the peeps from SMU. yep, they 2nd weekend meet up for project liao. btw. heres the background story. (names changed) 1 & 2 bidded for this module together but 3 wanna slack and choose not to take it but when someone else asked him, he bidded with "the person" LOL. and! by luck/will/fate HAHAHA. they all 4 ended up in the same class. so 3 is getting flak for pangsei and now they same group for project. 3 could have had three day week for school so he made a big sacrifice for 'the one'.

oops! btw, am I being too obvious? anyway, we went to dinner at shaw house behind suntec for dinner. 'Creation'. pasta! not bad. maybe the cheapest pasta you can get for quite good quality. similar to pastamania but much better. then went shopping around suntec and marina square. at 10pm shaun need to go online meet another project group. so busy. and we left him at starbucks to continue shopping! cy got bag, then we just chill out at starbucks planning for valentine's day. and we came out with the biggest plan for (again names are changed) mr. 3. its super funny plan hopes it happen! Hehe.

jase wanna come find us, so it changed out plans to go home. went over to timbre. always liked the place, got live band, good music. relax atmosphere. I think we are just crazy/high/fun peeps. we almost get mr.3 into trouble. LOL. we took his phone and did some funny things. hehe. but no worries. 'everything' was okay, maybe even got better. HAHAHA.

sunday, met up with secondary school friends in the morning for basketball. its been like more than 4 years since we last did that. can remember that we use to do it every weekend last time. I kenna lost touch abit with them during last year of poly + ns. yock teng, my ever dependable friend, same class for 5 years. LOL. 1 of the reason why I went to NP. and was happy to see him in NTU on the welcoming day. lets study hard! davin, another basketball kaki from sec, got married last november and got a lovely daugther chole! haven meet her yet only see pictures but davin says she is always super happy and loves to eat. HAHA. so cute! shawn, he is a cute monster. hehe. another always happy guy. charles, sign on officer! waiting for him come NTU. still got afew others hope to see them next time outing. LOL. thanks shawn for always pushing for outing and organizing.

btw, sunday. my house downstairs got a mini flea maket. happening heh. hehe.

and back to school work. this week till now was fast due to long days! tuesday & wednesday was full days. 8.30am classes and get back at hall only at 9+pm. and was thinking comm fund class was abit sian due to resume writing but this week they did some interviewing techniques. it was fun! hehe. cose we get to chit-chat around. HAHAHA. omg! I chatted with this ger and after that must review her and I got her name wrong! (too many mahh, but now I won't forget) so funny. sorry! I'm bad with names. anyway, the general review tot I was introverted at look but was suprise that I was very friendly and didn't snub them. weird & funny review. but next week assignment to hand in coverletter & resume for the mock internship. the coverletter is giving a a big headache.

aiming to finish as much work as possible, wanted a slacker CNY holidays but accounting 2 assigment is out. the topic kenna board. dunno where too start. work is stacking up too. last sunday took the decision of dropping econs theory elective. the next level after the prinicples of econs I took in sem 1. decided to concentrate on my core mods. but I still wanna do an econs minor! I attended 1 lecture, its interesting and lecturer is good but dun wanna overwork this sem + when I like studying a module, I tend to over do that module so guess I will wait till later sems. same as the 803(watch video 1).

and welfare serivces club activies are back! this years alot of new students for my p5-p6 batch. omg. the place is full! hehe. had a fun session. and pleased that I still blogging quite often after school starts hope I still can find time. and 'deadly febuary' is coming. HAHA. cose all major projects, coursework happens in that month.

.Openhouse & WX Birthday.

oops! 1 week late. for last saturday 10 jan. went for Ngee Ann poly openhouse! been long time since I took 74 long journey there (now I miss having straight bus to sch) but the bus went through 3 traffic jams. LOL. so sorry guys. late. hehe. NP changed quite abit, the bus stop area now is bigger with cheers, got new mega aircon 'koufu' foodcourt but ICT still about the same. eGarage now got big LCD, LOL. LCD at lift lobby too. suddenly sch became rich. rmb last time we still need to use mahjong paper + projector. met lecturers too! mr terence choo! my fyp mentor but didn't see his partner in crime mr charles keck. one of my favourite lecturers. also chatted with miss nitta! miss susie loo!











and ICT got quite afew new lecturers! was chatting with this new guy incharge of using facebook to reach out too alumni. he asked if we were gradutes of ICT & if we finish NS. we said yes, and he turned to me and asked again if I finished NS too? LOL. is it a compliment or ...? hahaha. anyway after I left, shaun met the rumored new hottie lecturer, damn! she from NTU com eng. just graduate. omg! I gonna find an excuse and visit ICT someday! HAHAHA. apart of that. I admit this year ict area quite quiet (a bit bored). but the level 4, MMA level, became really cool. full iMac labs, recording studio, filming studio, art & drawing rooms. LOL. theme this year is pirate!

after that rushed to Vivo! meet up the guys to watch Red Cliff 2! then celebrated Wei xiang's 24 birthday! Happy birthday!!! ate at 'white dog cafe', interesting place, food is not bad. WX got squid ink pasta, made his whole mouth black! hehe. and so first up is cake! chocolate cake! from 'awfully chocolate'. lovely! after cake got him his pressie! pardo bag! yesh! he likes it! we tooked a long time to find, was at a loss wad too get him. according to wei min(creative director) he is a classy + fussy person. LOL. yesh, he is classy guy! so we wanted a classy bag that he can use for presentation and goes with formal. and lastly, a handmade card! super cute card by WM!









after dinner, when to the top level to chill out. Wahh, too many couples and groups everywhere, kenna made a romantic place unromantic. Haha. so we found a nice place too take pictures! LOL. a group of 8 guys taking photos (Cam whoring). HAHAHA! and we got ngai!! the photographer pro! so enjoy the pictures! loved the photos. btw, we wanted to throw wm into the water, cose he mixed up the number of candles.











alittle time out here. hehe! appreciation. thanks wei xiang! happy brithday! thanks for being the most reliable friend. have a great year! we are born 11 months apart on the 11! LOL. without you to plan for birthdays, its super hard! hopefully we manage to did okay. hope you like and enjoyed it. thanks wm for work & ideas. thou his ideas are like for himself. yah, so now we know wads to get for yr birthday, (cupcakes, shaker cards, etc.) LOL. thanks KJ for being the 'bank' LOL. joking. being a great friend, he's one who will go lenghts with you. and for controlling wm. hehe. thanks mok! great guy, always look up to him, not because he is tall, but he embodies quiet strength & rightousness. thanks liow too! the noob magician, for his entertianment. for being 1 who I can talk rubbish with. surpise at how close I got too him. after that, left with wx, kj, jw & me. went for supper at rocher beancurd. lovely. must try! got greedy, ate till too full. LOL. missing all the company of everyone already. hehe.

.First Week Again.

yep, first week of second sem! its back too school again. far far west again(this my 3rd year traveling to boon lay). for Monday decided to go for only Accounting 2 lecture, the rest first lecture should be just introduction. so prepared for 2 1/2 hours of travelling time, wahhh, I'm really early, didn't find myself rushing for once, cose usually I'm late. LOL in the end reach with 1 hour too spare. was abit blur at the interchange, hehe. super long queue, 179A que almost reaching the mrt station. omg. btw, I always go back the night before. this time only yc went back. haha! then do all the stuffs(buy textbook etc.) joined yc for dinner about 5pm, then wanted to go home, was on board the bus already thou still in campus. then yc called say he locked himself out of the hall without key! LOL so had to go save him. then decide to wait for add/drop period start time at 7pm. argh... so many electives but can't get anything. someone drop the bioscience 1 for me pls! haha! andd! my home net is down at night, got quite a number of things to do online so ended up quite bored and started randomly sms disturbing ppl. hehe!

back in hall on tuesday. met my mentor with fab on thursday. Prof Cecil. this only the second time hearing him speak. always made me feel otherwise from wad the school been pitching, good grades, be proactive in CCA. too him, you should take and do what you like to do or what you want and not by "playing it safe". so this time his first question: "What do you want to do in you life?". honestly, I was stunned. yesh. I always say that I wanna work in the banking/financial sector. wanna get an MBA. but I can't pinpoint exactly wad I'm gonna do.

"..., only 1% of job are the glamorous jobs, 99% of ppl dun get those jobs, but dun get me wrong. this 99% are those that run the economy." He also made alot of strong points about business(IT) specialisation that I'm in. and mostly of them end up in the banking/financial sector. was begining to waver abt my course, cose comSci is begining to scare me.

"wait... I dun like this, are you saying you dun wan to do it cose it hard? or cose its not worth it?" both did cross my mind. always know its gonna be hard, but tot that I'm gonna put that hard work or extra effort in. I can do well. but sometimes, you just cant get it. Haha. then realise maybe I been wanting the wrong things, yesh results are important but gaining knowledge and wisdom far outweights it. just be able to tell yourself that you have done yr best is most important. sometimes I find myself blinded by results. sometimes I dunno if I do it cose I like it or cose I like to compete. Haha. feeling kenna silly. last sem I always hated uni. I missed poly. but now I kenna appreciate uni more, they demand alot, they seem scary, they break you down. cose they wanna built you up to be a stronger person.

this week kenna put everything into place. believing in myself, my own choice. I use to think alot about the time/duration, 4 years. am not getting younger(4 years behind already, got affected). but I really want to complete it and graduate. Haha. I'm acutally looking forward too the challenges now, its fun! doing it cose I believe it is worth it. this opporunity. and cose - there are no shortcuts to any place worth going.

Haha. its up to myself to put the value in it myself. will built myself up. Find what I love to do. its not 100% yet, but around 75%. wanna find more opportunities. more internship. more uncontrolled enviroment to test myself. thrown out all second thoughts. thank prof for his patience.

and! I got all my friends! haha. glad everyone's here. lets fight on! btw, this are the modules I taking this sem. still missing 1 elective thou. hoping get something good! tot abt one elective just now, next week gonna go try out the lecture! hehe.

CSC104: Logic design - circuits omg. quite alot of thinking needed and got 50% lab.
CSC105: OOP & Data structure - yeah. data structure part needs to be learn. lab test the tricky part.
CSC106: Discrete Maths - yep! lots of logic. need lots of understanding too.
AA102: Accounting 2 - finanical accounting!
CSC109: C Lang - online. need to be completed before march.
AB114: Communication Fundamentals - resume, presentation, speaking, letter writing.

HAHAHA, gonna make a wish list! incase anyone feeling generous! LOL. kj was saying that if I put this up I be like some blogger ger. got wishlist. then if got the item liao like must cross it out. hehe!

1) Running shoes! -current 1 is super old liao, got hole in front can ask shaun. LOL
2) Leather Belt -need 1, old the skin tear up already.
3) Leather Shoe - need! last one spoiled!
4) Ear phones - preferably white 1 :X but current one still can use. so okay for now.
5) iPod touch - so in love with yc's touch, best touch functions and agree with them, funnest iPod ever! games & websufing are a blast!
6) Contacts - acutally just got new specs, but. maybe. wanna try contacts. hope it isn't too hard too wear them.
7) Key ring - had one, meant the world to me but... so dump it. need another 1. but I would like to get it myself.
8) Dye hair - so long since I last dyed my hair, on look out for cool design!

yupz, acutally some dun really need, just a want! hahaha. materialistic world we are in. hehe. but learned money saved could compound to bring more money in for future. so will choose wisely wad to spend on! on the other hand, the list is wad I can tot of currently only, wants so much more! hehe. well still the best things in life can't be bought by money. selfishly wishing much more of that. added list to side bar, so can keep track always. LOL

.Overseas Friends.

Ivan left for US yesterday, Geng xian left for UK today. new adventures and phase of life, all the best guys! study hard, play hard, but hope they be back soon. can't wait for summer holidays and december. haha. selfish me likes to keep good friends near me, but the world is small, so rmb to keep in contact! hehe.

Reminisce - Geng Xian farewell dinner, The cathay, nihon miura. 26th June 2008. before gx go for his further studies in UK. we throw him a farewell dinner! hehe. lovely night, the jap food is good, affordable and we ended the night chatting about our futures. adulthood is knocking on our doors. follow your hearts and dreams. live and work hard for each happiness guys! LOL. we are waiting for the gers to get ROM! hehe. shaun was surprise at the big difference in stages of life that we are in. he's still young. Haha. Friends For Life.

.Biological Sci Elective.

just got back from lecture 1 of biological science: fact or fiction, omg! its super interesting and fun! watch movies then the lecturer will explain if all that is possible or the good or mistakes they made. this week is some old old film, they miniture themself and took a submarine into the the human body to travel to the brain to do operations. funny old film! they travel by the blood stream, pass the heart which cause alot of turbulance to the ship, then got attack by white blood cells and antibodies. its suppose to be 1 of the most modern show during 1966 time. hehe. got another film they show is similar, directed by 'steven spielberg' but this time is a miniture guy in miniture sub in a living guy. more of a comedy!

btw! she showed the schedule, alot of different shows each week, got CSI, jurassic park and last lecture is 'jewel in the palace' da chang jin! cute! also the lecturer started this module after she always go tell her friends abt movies she watched, so she tot why not start 1 module about it! LOL and she is hot too, funny lady!

enjoyed this lecture very much but... its almost full house, and according to her, she give priority to graduating students and she is expecting about 100+ appeals to get in. (I'm not offically registered in the module yet) omg! spoke too her about it, she says hopes are slim but do appeal and she hinting us to come back 2 years later. usually according to her alot of students will come begging to get in, eg. love the module, will die if cannot take etc. my original pitch was to say I want cose you are hot! HAHA! thinking back should have tried my luck! and thats means about nothing left too take now, due to timetable clash so choices are limited and those that fit are full! LOL. tianci says his friends had this problem, its common for year 1 & 2, so gotta live with it. thats frustrating! but got 1 more week of add/drop period for elective. no try no hope!!

got so many things too do till I dunno wad to do! wahaha. time to straighten out my thoughts. focus needed! this past 1 month holiday was almost like a dream. LOL. so much fun. btw expecting a fun and busy weekend!! so looking forward too it! NP open house too!

.Nonya Buffet & Movies.

last saturday, went out for dinner with wei xiang, he found a place serving nonya buffet behind bugis. little nonya! hehe. food is alright but the choices are little, after 1st serving dunno wad to eat liao but the pastries are good!

after that meetup with wei ming and 'that shouldn't be name' and watched 'Bedtime stories'. Haha. its a fairy tale! LOL. but people go to movies to escape reality. so its not bad too watch andd... I wanna watch ponyo ponyo!! so cute!

supper at 'xin wang cafe' AGAIN. LOL. the place is not bad, but eat till sian. haha. need to look for new place nx time.
