.Life's Many Paths.

In life we face with many life changing decisions that comes our way, so many what-if? I have a particular 1, maybe life would be quite different if I went that path. I dun think i told alot peeps about the exact details just maybe shaun? well. thinking back does makes me proud.

during BMT(tekong), I applied for, to me the best job! WSO C3. yep. Officer, combat pay, during training phase no route marching & SOC(obstacle course), HAHAHA. general terms is called Air traffic controller. so mostly means I just be inside the control tower. good career propects, thou at that time officer only till 42, now 50. wth. but can go CAAS(changi airport).

Heres how it went:
Aptitude test - I go there play computer, most of the test like for pliot testing haha. I should be passed, cose I went to next round which is medical checkup and interviews.

Medical checkup - Free full medical! hahaha. it is stingent and the medical the BEST! hahaha. where do u get real nurse and doctors do it for you for other place? and funny they take my body measurements too in the cockpit seat lookalike. wait, I also not flying. hahaha. but atleast I know I'm as healthy as it gets but just high body fat %. omg. it was over 20%. LOL.

Interview - Think this the hardest? hahaha. so I got called for an interview. Colonels, LTCs. I still remember clearly the questions. haha.

*As I walk into the room.*
me: "Morning Sir"
him: "Benjamin, are you from the obese company?"
me: "No. PTP"
him: "How many chin ups can you do?"
me: "zero."
him: "Thats no good. I want you to pull 6 by next week"
me: "I'll try my best."
him: "You're gonna become an officer, you have to pass your IPPT"
me: "I'll try my best."

him: "Why do you want to be an air traffic controller?"
*okay I crap alittle here*
me: "I like planes and i like to go to the airport look at plane and I think it a great job cose unlike the roads, the sky doesn't have any."
him: "You are wrong. the sky have roads that why the controllers are so important. to make sure everyone follows the rules."

him:"What do you know about helicopters?"
me:"we got the ****** and buying the ********"
him:"Accutally we already have the ******* and its already in operations"
me:"ohh."

*Last Question*
him: "Finally on a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you want the job?"
me: "10. I want the job."
him: "ok, thank you."

the interview doesn't seem good. but anyway. only me from my company got through. HAHAHA. then after POP. I got called to go down for contract signing. btw, at that point I found out that my cousin is also an C3. HAHAHA. yupz. he ask me to decide for myself. its good. ard 2k start pay. and the recuitment officer has to get a special letter to allow me to get in. I fail IPPT. honestly, I almost signed. but I wanted to decide over the weekend but they say I have to do it there. I called my parents, well they are up to me. then someone asked me not too. then they made an allowance to let me come back monday. btw, I met sam there same, proud officer now!

but I want to go uni. and thats gonna take up 4 years, thou can get study award but 4 years...

then that night I decide to turn it down. I know that my posting will be really random if I dun sign and true. I got atfirst wad I tot was the worst - Rifleman. met zhen an and some others(zhenghua, glen) in the canteen during my rifleman training phase, they in command school, admit that I'm sad then. hahaha. but acutally its pretty fun! I survived, i went taiwan 3 times! I met a great bunch of peeps! thankfully. and no SOC too. hehe.

thinking back, life's quite okay now for me, thou I could have been alot richer. oops. but money can always be earned. so waiting to graduate! hahaha. on hindsight, I should have applied for pilot too. would have been really interesting. and hopefully I'll get to learn to fly in future.
